….A good time was had by all!
Bladensburg SERTOMA held their second annual gun bash at the Bladensburg Community Center on Saturday, November 5.
The purpose of the SERTOMA’s Gun Bash was to make money to allow Bladensburg SERTOMA to support local folks in times of need. One of the first priorities will be to provide Christmas gifts for children in the community whose families are struggling financially. People came from all over the county to support the cause, socialize, enjoy a fabulous home-cooked meal, and play games for the chance to win guns.
The Owl Creek Conservancy was among the raffle participants, along with Knox County Special Olympics, the local Mt Zion Cemetery Association, The Bladensburg Community Center, as well as volunteers who worked at a special raffle table to raise funds for an individual who is facing the expenses of cancer treatments. The winner of the conservancy-sponsored Remington 700 ADL.308 hunting rifle was Rod Booth. Congratulations Rod! We hope you have many happy hours hunting with your new Remington. Long time conservancy member Jeff Kauffman also won a Citadel Boss 12 gauge shotgun at another raffle table.
