  • This year, the BFEC will feature live birds from Ohio Nature Education, birds of prey from Ohio Bird Sanctuary, and bugs from OSU's United Titanium Bug Zoo. This FREE event will also include a station to build bluebird boxes, children's games and activites, food trucks, live music, and environmentally-focused vendors and orgaizations. The Owl Creek Conservancy will be there raffling off a birdhouse. Come visit us!

Brown Family Environmental Center:  9781 Laymon Road, Gambier, OH 43022

Take SR 229 east to Laymon Road. (SR 308 turns left at this intersection.)  Turn right and go south 0.5 miles to the parking lot on the right.

Kokosing Nature Preserve: 10620 Quarry Chapel Road, Gambier, OH 43022

Take SR 229 east to SR 308 and turn left.  Keep straight onto Wiggin Street.  After 0.5 miles, turn left onto Quarry Chapel Road, entrance will be 0.9 miles down on the right.

Knox County Fair: 601 Fairgrounds Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050

Take SR 3 north out of Mount Vernon.  After 1.6 miles, turn left onto Fairgrounds Road.  The Fair will be on the right.

KnoxView Farm Winery: 7524 Phillips Road, Fredericktown, OH 43019

Take SR 13 northwest toward Fredericktown.  After 6.9 miles, take the SR 95 ramp and turn left onto SR 95W.  After 2.5 miles, turn right onto Phillips Road.  The winery will be 0.7 miles down on the left.

Bladensburg Community Center:  25821 New Guildford Road, Bladensburg, OH 43005

Take OH 586 (Martinsburg Road) south out of Mount Vernon.  After 10.6 miles, turn right onto North Market Street, then after 0.1 miles turn left onto OH 541.  The Community Center will be 3.9 miles down on the left.

CA&C Depot: 501 South Main Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050

The Depot is located just south of the Viaduct Bridge on Main Street.  Parking is accessible from Columbus Road.
