- Winner of the 2020 Anthony Lukas Work-in-Progress Award, SEED MONEY: Monsanto's Past and Our Food Future is the definitive history of Monsanto. OSU historian, Bartow J. Elmore, traces Monsanto’s evolution from a chemical startup to a global agrobusiness powerhouse. Elmore examines the company’s past and exposes a huge concern about genetically engineered crop systems: whether they will actually produce the food we need to feed our families in the decades to come. Meet at the BFEC Picnic Shelter.
