Working together with AEP
Part of the Conservancy’s ongoing responsibility as a land trust is to ensure requests from utility companies are handled appropriately. Recently, AEP contacted the grantor of a Protected Property of Owl Creek Conservancy's about widening the easement to accomidate an upgrade to the existing power lines that reside on the property. Pictured here, attorney Morgan Giles with The Giles Law Group speaks with AEP representative Bryan Sober about the Protected Property in question on Banning Road, just outside of Mount Vernon. In this case, power lines in the community will be upgraded to three-phase without any damage to the easement’s conservation values.
