We have some fun things planned this year!
Owl Creek Conservancy's 23rd Schedule of Events have just been announced! Here's a quick run-down of all the events we have planned this year. You can find all the details for each event under the Events tab on our website. We will also update our blog posts with a reminder closer to the dates of each event. We're looking forward to seeing you this season.
We have four Adopt-a-Highway events this year, we hope you consider joining us helping keep Knox County Clean!
- Spring Pick Up Date: Friday, March 22
- Summer Pick Up Date: Thursday, June 20
- Fall Pick Up Date: Thursday, September 19
- Winter Pick Up Date: Thursday, December 19
All start times will be at 1:30 p.m, with a meeting place at the Fredericktown Community Park at Sockman Lake. Look for the Owl Creek Conservancy flag. (directions under the event tab on our website)
- Pheasants Forever and Owl Creek Conservancy are hosting a “No Child Left Indoors” event on Saturday, April 13 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. while supplies last. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. This will be held at Campbell’s Farm and Sportsman Club (directions under the event tab on our website)
- Join us for our Annual Meeting on Sunday, June 23 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the KnoxView Farm Winery in Fredericktown. Sip on a glass of locally made wine and hear what Owl Creek has been up to the past year. (directions under the event tab on our website)
- Come out to the Knox County Fair and see us! Trustees will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about land conservation from Sunday, July 21 – Saturday, July 27 between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. daily. You can find us in the Merchants Building.
- Have you witnessed the Flight of the Chimney Swifts yet? Come out to the Bladensburg Community Center on Saturday, August 24 at 7:45 – 8:45 p.m. to watch these amazing birds take flight! (directions under the event tab on our website)
- We are excited to take part once again at the River Rally where we help do our part to keep the Kokosing River clean. Join us and receive an official Owl Creek Conservancy ball cap just for participating! Meet us at the CA&C Depot at 9:45a.m. on Saturday, September 14. (directions under the event tab on our website)
- We are ending the year with a bash ~ The Bladensburg SERTOMA Gun Bash! Come out for some fun games of skill, enjoy a catered meal and be entered to win a hunting gun! Meet us at the Bladensburg Community Center on Saturday, November 9, Doors open at 11:00 a.m.; lunch is at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 at the door and include lunch, a raffle ticket, and tons of fun games!
